Industrial roots driven by innovation
The Clayton Steam Generator was invented in 1930 and the unique design means that high efficiency and rapid start-up are combined with high steam quality, fast response and safety. The operating principle of this remarkable steam boiler has eliminated the need to contain and heat large quantities of water under pressure. Consequently all Clayton Steam Generator models are small in size and weight and can be accommodated within a limited space. The range of sizes has been steadily developed over the years and it is now no longer necessary to use the firetube type of boiler for steam outputs of up to 20 tonnes per hour.
One of the major safety advantages of the forced circulation coil principle is the small water content – so there is no possibility of a steam explosion from a Clayton Steam Generator.
