Clayton Exhaust Gas Boiler
DESIGN FEATURES

The Clayton Exhaust Gas Boiler is of modular construction with a range of standard coil sections to suit a variety of process conditions. Computer software chooses the sections for optimum performance, based on heat available, steam output required, and pressure drop allowance.

Its modular construction makes assembly quick and easy. Simply bolt the standard coil sections together and add the coned transition pieces to each end to connect to the exhaust ducting.

The water connections between each section are located on the outside of the boiler shell. An effective soot blowing system is built in.

Clayton Exhaust Gas Boiler
APPLICATIONS

Suitable for various applications depending on the flow and temperature required.

Common applications include:

Converting heat generated by waste gases from diesel engines, small gas turbines, incinerators, glass furnaces, enamel ovens, stress relieving ovens and other suitable applications
Recovering heat from the exhaust of main propulsion and power generating diesel engines in the marine industry. A separate oil-fired generator can be supplied for use when the vessel is in port.
Heat recovery for gas turbines.
Heat recovery for diesel engines on electrical generators up to 15Mwe, e.g. light and heavy oil fired engines, gas fired engines and dual fuel units of 4-stroke and 2-stroke design.

SYSTEMS

Advanced Features and Benefits

No reliance on any type of fins on the tube surface reduces the possibility of clogging with exhaust gas deposits.
Designed to maximise performance and allow free flow of hot gas over the tube in the opposite direction to the water flow for maximum efficiency.
The outlet is directed towards a Steam Separator, Accumulator or Steam Drum.
More than one Clayton Exhaust Gas Boiler can be connected to a single accumulator or steam drum.
Zero dew point corrosion of tubes prolongs boiler life.
