SPECIAL STEAM GENERATOR APPLICATIONS
Power Stations
The Clayton Steam Generator System is ideal for use in both conventional and nuclear power stations. Its safe design, rapid start-up and ability to generate superheated, high pressure steam quickly make it suited to these environments.
Common power station applications include peak shaving, auxiliary start-up steam, back-up and emergency steam supply.
Marine & Offshore Oil
Its safety, space saving design, unmanned operation, reliability and modular construction make Clayton the standard for ships and offshore oil platforms.
The standard Clayton Marine Steam Generator includes specified materials, control systems, electrical motors, cabling, tagging, documentation and other essential features. It is approved by marine authorities and can be adapted to meet the inspection agency requirements.
High Pressure & Superheated Steam
The robust Clayton heating coil is designed to withstand the damaging effects of expansion and contraction during rapid heating and cooling. This makes the Clayton Steam Generator ideal for use in superheated and high pressure applications.
On Superheated Clayton Steam Generators the feedwater is directed to the top layer of coil where it is pre-heated as it spirals downwards and passes into the high efficiency steam separator. Dry steam from the separator is then directed to the integral superheating coil section where the desired steam temperation is produced.
